Waterfall Resort, an established sport fishing destination for almost 25 years, announces that this spring they will raise two honorary totem poles to celebrate historic ties to the Native Alaskan community
Ketchikan, Alaska (IPRWIRE) Mon, Feb. 19th, 2007 — In honor of its 25th anniversary this spring, Waterfall Resort in Southeast Alaska (www.waterfallresort.com/inm.html) will raise two totem poles carved by the grandson of a Haida chief who presented a totem pole to the Waterfall Cannery in 1937. In a unique tribute to Waterfall Resort’s historic ties to the Native Alaskan community, the Resort has commissioned the totem poles from Lee Wallace, who recently began carving the poles in Saxman Village, just south of Ketchikan, Alaska.

Ford Motors of Southern California recently sent 80 corporate guests on vacation in Alaska with over 150 pieces of luggage and 160 boxes of fish on the return flight home.
