Combating Fibromyalgia Symptoms

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Fibromyalgia symptoms are not easy to live with, in fact many people assume before they are diagnosed that they must be dying because they are in such pain.  It’s true, with this illness there are days when you feel like you must be about 50 years older than you are, and other days where you feel like you will never recover.  When you visit your doctor they will likely be able to ask you questions and even apply a small amount of pressure to specific areas of your body to help determine that this is the illness that you are suffering from.  But, after diagnosis you may find that your doctor is not able to do much for the pain that you are experiencing.

Unfortunately the fibromyalgia symptoms are not limited to pain in various areas of the body.  In fact, many people who suffer from the illness have pain all over their body.  Another common complaint is severe headaches, extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety, and even guilt over the things that you are no longer able to do for your family and friends. If you don’t have a full appreciation for the severity of these symptoms you may be very hard on yourself, which can also cause you to become angered and frustrated with yourself as well as your doctors. It is very difficult not being able to enjoy the things you used to.

If you have tried many different medications on the market that are meant to help you with your fibromyalgia symptoms but haven’t experienced much relief, you are likely more frustrated than ever before.  What you must realize is that these drugs are not for everyone, in fact, there are some medications that are prescribed for this illness that will make you feel worse.  You simply need to find the right combination of medications and other treatments that will work for you and your specific set of circumstances.

Those that have the best luck treating their fibromyalgia symptoms are those that take a multi faceted approach to the treatment.  If you want to recover from this illness you need to help your body heal and you need to make sure that your body has all of the nutrients that it needs to provide you with energy to combat the fatigue that is common with this illness.  An approach that works is one that considers diet, exercise, vitamins and supplements, medications, and acupuncture for pain relief.  As you can see, when you approach it this way you don’t give the illness a chance to win.  Instead, you fight the symptoms at the very core, by not allowing them to continue.

If this sounds like something that you would be interested in doing but you aren’t sure where to start, you needn’t worry.  There is a resource out there that many have turned to, known as Rid Fibromyalgia.  This website will provide you with all of the information that you need to get better through a very comprehensive eBook entitled “Heal Your Body” as well as through regular newsletters.  You can visit this website and get all of this information to change your life at www.ridfibromyalgia.com just as soon as you are ready to take your life back!
