Now You See It – Now You Don’t: Learning To Focus Properly Is The Key To Success
Many people have heard about the book called “The Secret,” it’s ultimate message being: If you simply think or visualize your wants, they will eventually materialize. As someone grounded in the real world, however, you know that this type of thinking is, as our mothers used to say, “wishful thinking!” Indeed, there is no getting what you truly want in life with mere wishful thinking. There are, however, a combination of different techniques required to release negative beliefs and thought patterns. Then, when you practice accentuating positive beliefs that will result in positive emotions, your desires then will have a chance to become reality.
Being able to focus correctly, and to concentrate and pinpoint your exact goal, is an essential factor in achieving success. Focusing and feeding your mind with positive thoughts becomes the driving force in producing positive emotions and, ultimately, outcomes. Just as a poorly tuned T.V. channel or radio station gives out low quality images and sound, an unfocused mind results in poor outcomes. Unless one allows positive thinking to fine tune one’s inner desires and vision, they will likely remain just that, mere desires and visions –
“static fuzz.”
When trying to focus your mind, a suggestion is to sit or lie down in a quiet place, relax, and run through those thoughts that are related to your goal, like the scenes of a movie. As you process these thoughts (or scenes) in your mind, the different emotions and feelings attached to them will become apparent. Now this is the important part: You will know when you are focusing on the correct thoughts, when you experience that immense feeling of elation, that feeling of “oneness,” that right on feeling! You are now “tuned in.”
This is how individuals now need to focus on in their visualization and imagination daily. It is a very simple process.
Some people have so many thoughts that they just cannot seem to clearly and totally get absorbed on their focal thought point . They just don’t seem to be able to get their desired results. If so, this means they have some negative mental blockages that are interfering with the process. Unless they release these, no amount of visualization is going to help. That fuzzy picture will keep coming back to distort the image and positive emotion. The result? Focus is lost. Frustration sets in. Finally, they give up. This does not have to happen!
