Larnaca, Cyprus (IPRWIRE) Thursday, September 11th, 2008 — Inspirational Power (www.messagesofsympathy.com) is launching today and has committed to donating 10% of the profits of the website to the “Make a Wish Foundation” (www.wish.org) a children’s charity that makes the wishes of terminally ill kids come true.
Many people remember the terrible atrocity and still fear complacency while others fear forgetting their loved ones altogether. For all it is perhaps a time where we have an opportunity to stop and remember what is really important to us.
In everyday life it is interesting to note that much of the time we casually pass away each moment with a nonchalant attitude that there will always be another one. We all too often don’t make that important phone call to someone we love and leave it to some other future time. Or we fail to live fully in the moment, shrinking down to fit in for fear of standing out and being judged.
However when the tragic events that began at 8.46 am occurred the American people became united and we remembered how precious every moment of life is.
But more than ever we saw people step up and do outstanding things. We remember the amazing acts of bravery and heroism from the NY Fire Department, Police and Emergency Services many who gave their lives to save another. We also remember a different kind of bravery; the bravery of the children of Mom’s and Dad’s lost on September 11 and who now live every day with the loss of one of the most important people in their lives.
Andy Harrington the creator of a brand new website MessagesofSympathy.com remembers how in the same year he was inspired to write a poem that has only now found its way into the public domain. Having never written a word of poetry in his life before Andy Harrington was inspired by the loss of a friend to write a poem on the day that she died. The poem was read out at the funeral and was of great comfort to family and friends.
