It becomes the job of the searcher to look for profiles in which the person behind the profile seems somewhat serious and, literally, doesn’t seem like a player.  If the profile looks like the profile of a player, the person behind the profile is probably more interested in online dating games than in meeting someone.  If your intentions do not match, you might want to browse onward.
