Competing in a triathlon is something that takes a lot of training if you want to do it the healthy way for your body and your mind. It can be difficult to train for triathlon swimming as well as the other events if you have never done something like this before and you don’t have a trainer to help you out. What you need is to form a plan or find some sort of guide that will help you on your way to a successful experience if you do not have a well informed or experienced partner in this endeavor.
Perhaps you have been swimming competitively for years and you would simply like to up the ante a bit and see if you can take your swimming skills to a whole new level. Perhaps you have simply always enjoyed swimming and you’d like to condition your body doing things that you enjoy. Triathlon swimming is a wonderful way to condition your entire body. Whether you are just getting started with swimming competitively or you have been doing it for awhile, if you follow a great plan you can be competing, and perhaps even placing in competition before you know it.
So, where do you get this training and guidance that you need to do well and avoid injury? There are a lot of books written on this topic, but unless you know the author or you have a personal recommendation for the book, it can be difficult to discern which of the books is worth your time and money. If you aren’t a big reader, this definitely is not the way to go because you will probably have a hard time finishing the book and your body will require more than the time you have spent skimming a book to really get in good shape to complete triathlon swimming without injury.
A professional trainer to help with triathlon swimming is a great idea, but for most of us we simply do not have the money that it takes to pay a good trainer to really help us prepare for such a big event. So, where do most of us turn? To the Internet, of course! There is a lot of good information on the Internet about this subject, but you must be careful where you get your information from and how seriously you take it. Be sure to check the source of all of the information before you employ it. Simply put, you must use good sense and realize that a lot of the content on the Internet is not written by a specialist.
If you don’t want to fool around with bad advice and training guides, check out www.kineli.co.nz, as this is a very helpful website for those seeking information on triathlon swimming and other events, as well. Here you will find guides and training plans, as well as useful CD’s that can walk you through the process of training and can help you be the success you had always envisioned you would be. This is top rate information that even the pros would stand by.

The sprint triathlon is becoming more and more popular with each passing year. Many cities are hosting their own local events and charitable organizations are hosting many each year as well. The reason for this is simple. A sprint triathlon is a fun way to get people together in an event that is challenging but still do-able for most competitors.
The major difference between a sprint triathlon and its bigger brother is in the distances that are used for the various event components. Rather than a 6 mile run, the run may be only 3 miles. The same decrease in distance is usually applied to the other events (cycling and swimming) as well.
By decreasing the distances it is hoped that more people then come out and participate in the events, and that has proven to be true. As mentioned earlier, many cities are now hosting their own events and these are often attended by several hundred, if not thousands, of people.
But even with the decrease in distances, a person who wishes to participate in one of these fun events still needs to train for it. This can be a rather cumbersome because there simply are not that many people available who know the events inside and out and are locally available for training sessions. So what is a person to do?
Some easy and very affordable methods of sprint triathlon training can be found online. By choosing a vendor who specializes in these events and has the materials available that fit your needs, you can quickly learn the ins and outs of the various events you will be participating in and, hopefully, boost your overall performance level for each one. By having some expert guidance at the start, you can also avoid making costly or even dangerous mistakes. It does you little good to train for an event if you are only going to hurt yourself in the process.
When you look for an online source of information and guidance for this event, consider working with only those pros who have had years of experience in the sport. These are the people who can show you the best methods for getting started and for keeping on track as you move through the process. Try to find someone who has taken the time to design a program that is logical, organized, and affordable. You will also want to see about having a progress report or diary system so that you can personally track your progress. This will allow you to monitor your strong areas as well as identify your weak areas. Once you know where you are weak, you can begin to build in that area and, again, improve your overall success.
A fine place to begin this search is with KinEli Publishing. They have designed affordable yet truly informative guidebooks on all aspects of the sport. From beginning to end, these guidebooks can help you all along the process. Visit www.kineli.co.nz to learn more.

Triathlon training can be demanding and challenging at best. It can be even more demanding and challenging when a person tries to go it alone. It is true that many individuals can afford a personal coach to help them get through the long process of learning and mastering the three basic skills of running, cycling, and swimming, but it is equally true that many people cannot afford those costs.
For those individuals interested in pursuing triathlon training on a budget, it is recommended that they seek some inside knowledge on techniques from those who have gone through the process before. In any worthwhile endeavor, it is always best to learn from someone who has years of experience in the field, and this is true in triathlon training as well.
But where would you find someone like that if you did not already have access to someone of this nature?
Good question. One answer is to look on the Internet. There are not as many experienced folks online in this field as there are for other sports, but there are a few. Some things to look for as you begin your online search are length of experience in the sport, knowledge base (are they well rounded in the sport?), expertise in all components of the event (running, cycling, and swimming), is their information clearly written so that you can understand it, and is the material geared for your skill level (beginner, mid, pro?). All of these things will come into play at some time or another as you go through your own process, moving from one level to the next. The more expertise a person or company has with these issues, the easier it will be for you to locate the resources you need.
If you decide to work with a publisher of source materials, make sure that they offer their programs in individual modules rather than a one-book-does-all format. It is always better to purchase only the materials in the subjects that you need rather than having to wade through pages and pages of material that does not interest you. It is equally important to make sure they have offerings that match your current skill level. It will do you little good to get advanced techniques if you are just starting out. In fact, it may do you more harm than good because triathlon training that is too advanced for you at your current level may cause you to stop altogether. It is essential to find someone who offers information on all skill levels and then stick with your level until you are ready to advance.
A great place to begin your search is with KinEli Publishing. KinEli, at www.kineli.co.nz, features a wealth of information for both beginners and pros. They offer affordable guidebooks that cover just about every topic that you will need.
